Gifting our Wedding Party--it all Comes Together!

Hi there Hive! We're down to 2 days before we head to Napa again, and 4 days away from the Big Day! I've been running around like a mad-woman, getting together the gifts for our wedding party, which I will spend a better part of this afternoon wrapping.

The only gifts not included in this post are the ones for my MOH and Mr. Barrettes. Later. Promise.

Bridesmaids Dresses: We're Sooo Close, Help Me Decide!!!

When I last left you regarding my BM dresses, I was leaning towards everyone having a different dress. But in the back of my mind, I knew I wanted my 2 cousins to wear the same dress and this purple pretty was the first inspiration photo I sent them. Cut to 8 weeks to the wedding: I found almost this exact dress at BCBG, 2 of them, in each BM's size!

(Me modeling the BCBG dress to bbm to my cousins.)

BM Lisa found this dress on her own, and it's super perfect for her (the mannequin is bigger than her; it will zip). As for BM Amy, we're still looking. I wanted to shy away from everyone wearing the same color, but that is the direction we are heading. Amy and I both liked a silver dress that she put on hold, but now it won't really go with the other dresses:

So now I'm thinking about asking Amy and Lisa to wear a charcoal gray or black dress so they will offset my cousins' purple bow dresses. OR, I do the nice thing and keep Lisa in the dress she already bought and have Amy find something purple.

What do you think? Everyone in purple, or 2 in purple, 2 in dark grey/black?

Dressing my Bridesmaids

Staying true to my process of getting obsessed with one detail, then putting it off when I get bored of it, I've started hunting for bridesmaids dresses.

Can't they all just wear this beauty by Fendi and call it a day? No? Ok, moving on. Originally I thought about putting the ladies in the same dress. Then, same dress, different necklines. Now they may all be wearing totally different dresses, in hues of the color scheme:

I'm still up in the air about it. While it would be interesting to look at, perhaps one uniform color would look more crisp. The groomsman will likely be wearing a dark charcoal grey color, leaving the ladies to the violet. But then it looks like everyone else's wedding party, where the ladies are wearing the same color purple. I've seen it already. I want something different. If I was super stylish we could just do this:

Is anyone else having totally different dresses? How are you keeping them cohesive without being too matchy?
